EXAMINATAION & PASSING CRITERIA FOR T.Y.B.Sc.-IT.

The scheme of examination shall be divided in two parts:
Internal Assessment 25 Marks
Semester End Examination 75 Marks
The allocation of 25 marks shall be on the following basis:
Common for Theory & Practical subjects.
Internal Assessment - One Periodical Class Test 20 Marks
Overall performance 05 Marks
Semester End Examination Duration of this examination shall of 2.5 Hrs.
Practical Assessments for (50 Marks)
Semester End Examination 40 Marks
Journal 05 Marks
Viva 05 Marks

The performance grading of the learners shall be on the Ten point ranking system as under

Passing Standard

The learners to pass a course shall have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate for each course where the course consists of Internal Assessment and Semester End Examination. The learners shall obtain minimum of 40% marks (i.e. 10 out of 25) in the Internal Assessment and 40% marks in Semester End Examination (i.e. 30 out of 75) separately, to pass the course and minimum of Grade E, wherever applicable, to pass a particular semester. A learner will be said to have passed the course if the learner passes the Internal Assessment and Semester End Examination together.

Practical Passing Standard

The learners shall obtain minimum of 40% marks (i.e. 20 out of 50) in the Practical Examination separately, to pass a particular semester. A learner will be said to have passed the course if the learner passes the Internal Assessment, Semester End Examination and Practical Examination together.
