ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR FIRST YEAR BACHELOR OF ARTS

Eligibility :
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three year integrated course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects :-

Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any classical Language or Information Technology.

Any four subjects carrying 100 marks each.

 

OR

 

Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination with vocational subject conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:-

EXAMINATAION & PASSING CRITERIA FOR F.Y.B.A.

The scheme of examination shall be divided in two parts:

Internal Assessment (only for Foundation Course Subject)               25 Marks

Semester End Examination (only for Foundation Course Subject)       75 Marks

(Duration of Exam is 2.5 Hrs.)

 

Semester End Examination (Except Foundation Course Subject)               100 Marks

(Duration of Exam is 3 Hrs.)

 

The performance grading of the learners shall be on the Ten point ranking system as under

Passing Standard

The learners to pass a course shall have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate for each course of Semester End Examination.

For, Foundation Course subject – Course consists of Internal Assessment and Semester End Examination. The learners shall obtain minimum of 40% marks (i.e. 10 out of 25) in the Internal Assessment and 30% marks in Semester End Examination (i.e. 30 out of 75) separately, & (i.e. 40 out of 100) to pass the course and minimum of Grade D, to pass a particular semester. A learner will be said to have passed the course if the learner passes the Internal Assessment and Semester End Examination together.

 8438. Allowed to keep terms (ATKT) Applicable to the courses under Faculty of Arts :

 

A Learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester II irrespective of number of courses of failure in the Semester I.

OR

A Learner fails in not more than four Courses of Semester I and Semester II taken together with not more than TWO courses at each of Semester & I Semester II.

ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR SECOND YEAR BACHELOR OF ARTS

Eligibility :
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree of Second Year Bachelor of Arts must have passed the Semester – I & Semester – II with the following subjects :-

1.    Economics, Psychology, Geography, Marathi, Communication Skills in

English & Foundation Course – I

2.    Each subjects carrying 100 marks each. (Except Foundation Course)

OR

Must have passed the Semester – I & Semester – II more than 4 subjects. For Semester – III  2 A.T.K.T.  in each semester is allowed.

OR

Must have passed an examination of another University or Body Recognized as equivalent thereto.

Eligibility :
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree of Third Year Bachelor of Arts must have passed the Semester – I, II, III & Semester – IV.

OR

Learner should have pass First Year or Second Year without any ATKT.

OR

Learner is allowed only 2 A.T.K.T. in each semester i.e. First Year or Second Year for admission of Semester – V & VI.

OR

Must have passed Semester I, II, III & IV an examination of another University or Body Recognized as equivalent thereto.
